Welcome to Biki's diner. Biki enjoys a wide variety of foods. His main diet is a homemade nectar which is supplemented with fresh fruits and edible flowers. Make sure the flowers are pesticide free and not treated with any other chemicals. Favorite edible flowers include nasturiums, pansies, and roses.
Thoroughly mix the following ingredients together in a pitcher:
Biki consumes about a third of a cup a day and also receives fresh fruit and the occassional flower. Mixture may be stored in pint sized containers and frozen for future use. Avian Fresh Addition™ is a nutritional supplement containing spirulina, barley grass, alfalfa, and various herbs and spices. It is available from the China Prairie Company.
Biki's feathers are in excellent condition and he's very, very active. He has been fed this diet for over 10 years and is doing very well on it.
